Kaskazi
Carried by the wind
Our collective - Kaskazi - comes from the name of the northeastern monsoon winds that once swept across the Indian Ocean, carrying Arab traders to the shores of East Africa. These winds did not merely move ships. They moved people, ideas, languages, and beliefs, giving birth to an entire civilization. The Swahili world, its language, its architecture, its identity, exists because of Kaskazi.
